In interviews on US television, Dwayne Johnson had earlier teased his return to wrestling
As part of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Smackdown, Dwayne ‘ The Rock ‘ Johnson is set to return to the wrestling ring! Premiere on the live.
Originally the former WWE star retired from the ring in 2004, before returning to John Cena for two fights in 2012 and 2013.
Now, fans can see the wrestler in action again, known as the People’s Champion.
Johnson stated that he’s going to appear on Smackdown! Live, a first-time wrestling show in the U.S. on Friday.
WWE also pledged that the program would include other “Hall of Famers.”
Johnson said on Twitter “FINALLY…I come back home to my @WWE universe,” Johnson said on Twitter

He teased his return earlier this year in an interview with Live WIth Kelly And Ryan on the US chat show.
He stated: “I miss wrestling, I love wrestling.
“Yes, I do … I silently retired from wrestling because I was lucky enough to have a really great career and do what I wanted to do, but there’s nothing like a live crowd, a live audience.”
Johnson has starred in the Fast and Furious movie franchise and the reboot of Jumanji in 1995 since his retirement.
Johnson will also appear in the upcoming new Black Adam movie from the DC Universe.
